I met with Carrie on April 14th, 2025. As a career transitioner/grad student, I wanted some help with updating my resume to put myself in the best position to obtain jobs in my new chosen field (working in libraries). Carrie gave me exactly the kind of direction that I needed. She reviewed my current resume with me and gave me incredibly useful insight on everything from the format, wording, to even potential points for a cover letter. She also offered to review my updated drafts post-appointment, leaving comments with further suggestions and encouragement. Since my appointment with Carrie, I felt empowered for my career change, and I'm so glad for her help! Her expertise helped me shape my job search materials into the best versions they could be, and it's due to her actionable feedback that I feel prepared to take on the job hunt in this tough economy. I'm so grateful for the Career Center at SJSU—it's a wonderful resource!
