2025-26 was a productive year for our Career Center—reflected in our direct student services reaching 24k+ students and hosting nearly 90 new engagement events! We collaborated with campus and industry partners to launch bold new events—sparking career confidence and expanding access.

From skill-building classes and workshops to inclusive networking, industry panels, and summits—our programming set the stage for an energized future of workforce development at SJSU. We continued expanding and developing new collaborations across campus: Alumni Association, Center for Faculty Excellence and Teaching Innovation (CFETI), Community and Government Relations, Division of Student Affairs, eCampus, First-Year Writing Program, HonorsX, King Library, New Student and Family Programs, Student Involvement, Student Organizations, University Personnel, the Writing Center, and so many more—creating opportunities to generate community interest while raising awareness about careers and other important trends and issues in the many industries our students join.

We are proud to contribute to the success of our Spartan community, and this annual Career Center Outcomes Report highlights our significant progress in supporting our students' professional development.

Internship opportunities on SJSU Handshake grew by 31% to 77k+, while our Career Closet and professional photo booth served nearly 3k students, enhancing their professional branding.

Of the graduates who responded to the First Destination Survey, 62% secured jobs within six months of graduation, and 9% are continuing their education at 153 institutions for advanced studies. This year 2,134 organizations hired our graduates, and graduate respondents' average annual salary is $77k, underscoring their talent and capabilities as well as showcasing their readiness and value in the workforce.

Our commitment to career readiness as a vital component of student success remains evident in the strong momentum we’ve gained in integrating the Career Development Plan into the recalibrated SJSU Transformation 2030. Our dedicated team continues developing the career ecosystem at SJSU, guided by our core principles of diversity and equity. As we embark on the 2026/27 academic year, we are proud of our role in SJSU Transformation 2030. With the support of campus leadership, departments, alumni, and external partners, we remain optimistic about our future.
