2024-25 was a remarkable year for our Career Center – reflected in a 7% increase in students served and over 40 new engagement events! We are proud to contribute to their success. This annual Career Center Outcomes Report highlights our significant progress—creating impactful career opportunities and supporting our students' professional development.

Our direct student services reached over 23,000 students; internship opportunities on SJSU Handshake grew by 67% to nearly 59,000, while our Career Closet and professional photo booth have served over 2,000 students to enhance their professional branding.

Of the graduates who responded to the First Destination Survey, 59% secured jobs within six months of graduation, with 8% pursuing further education. The graduate respondents' average annual salary is $76,786, showcasing their readiness and value in the workforce. This year, 1,082 organizations hired our graduates, and 117 institutions welcomed them for advanced studies, underscoring their talent, capabilities, and preparedness.

Our commitment to career readiness as a vital component of student success remains evident in the strong momentum we’ve gained in integrating the Career Development Plan into the recalibrated SJSU Transformation 2030. Our dedicated team continues developing the career ecosystem at SJSU, guided by our core principles of diversity and equity. As we embark on the new academic year 2025/26, we are proud of our role in SJSU Transformation 2030. With the support of campus departments, alumni, and external partners, we continue to be optimistic about our future.
